Great store with large selection of organic produce. Good discounts are often available on premium items.

Best grocery store I've ever seen. Mostly consistent across all locations from available products and brands to product layout/location. Everything is always neat, in order, and properly labelled and priced. Staff are always friendly and happy to help. The bakery gives my son (a toddler) a cookie to keep him occupied as we shop every time we go. The produce is the freshest and lasts the longest once home compared to any grocery store I've tried. Massive amount of prepared foods that are reasonably priced and for the morning part rival any dish you would get at a decent restaurant. As a PC store the points system is decently rewarding as well. In the end may cost MARGINALLY more than some of the bargain oriented places but you more than get what you pay for. I'm not sure what I'd do if I ever moved to a city without a Fortinos!!

My favourite grocery store! The pizzas are especially delicious and the staff at Panne Fresco are always very friendly.

The produce is always fresh and well stocked.

The place is nice and clean, offers a lot of variety. Their sales are average but BEWARE.... recently they started tagging items that look identical to their sale tags. They are both big yellow and red tags ; the difference is one says "sale" and the other says "great buy".

I have come to realize that these "great buy" items are either reduced significantly less than their average sale prices, or not even reduced in price at all. More times than not i'll see a yellow tag and think it's on sale... but it won't show the original price. Just by knowing the prices of most items by shopping there for yrs I know that there is no discount off the regular price, so people get tricked into buying a regular priced item thinking it is on sale. For example cantaloupe is $3.99 reg price. I see a yellow "great buy" tag go on it for $3.99 for a week. The yellow tag comes off and the reg white price tag goes back on for $3.99. I myself was buying these items for months before I picked up on it. More times than not i'll buy stuff that's on sale. Like most people if they see an item they may want, the yellow sale tag is a big influence on purchasing it. There are many things I normally wouldn't get, but see a yellow tag on it and buy it thinking it's on sale.

I have also seen some items on sale with an unrealistic discounted price on it. For example they had these small bags of reese eggs on sale for approx $6.99 (which isn't much of a sale for this item to begin with), but on the sale tag it says you are saving $13. So they are trying to say that these little reese egg candies used to be $20, which is complete nonsense.

Another thing I have noticed is sometimes they put stuff on a clearance rack and sell stuff that has expired months ago...i'm talking over 4 months ago. You mean to tell me that for 4 months the workers there failed to see that this coffee expired? I doubt it.

Everything else is good about the store, but their practices I think can come across very manipulative and dishonest.

Best fortinos! It's been my grocery store for over 20 yrs, I now moved to Niagara but I still go there although not as often as I like. Wish you would open in my new neighbourhood (zers maybe the same parent co but certainly a far cry fr freshness of fortinos especially fish , produce & meats).
